Elmer E. Stephenson and Edward L. Lawyer leased a small, 20x20 office in order to sell materials to furniture manufacturers in 1945. Then, with the introduction of Goodyear Airfoam in 1946, Stephenson & Lawyer as a distributor and fabricator of foam products was born.
